The theme of the album is consistent throughout and the colour scheme of the bright red is a direct contrast to the name of the album. The theme of the album consists of love, romance and also weakness which all reflect the style and emotions of the songs on the album. The name of the album, LOUD, reflects the artists personality and outs their style choices in fashion and also her music. The use of the bright red hair and red lip is a direct contrast to the album name and her personality. The use of the bright red colour is also quite suggestive and sexual along with Rihanna's facial expression in both images.

A narrative can be seen to be played through this digipak. The cover image suggests a sense of love and passion through the bright red hair and lips. The theme of love is then continued onto the large three sided part where the artist is seen to be lying in a bed of roses wearing white long dress. which could be seen as a wedding dress, this entices the audience to know what happened to this artist who seemed passionately in love on the cover and is now laying down showing quite a distressed facial expression. This creates a narrative as to what happened to the artist.

The font used is quite informal and simple which helps to keep the main image the focus of the cover. Only the artists name and the albums name are featured on the cover, both words also frame the artists face again keeping the focus on her rather than the actual album name. This could be implying that the suggestive image of Rihanna is the main focus and is what will in return sell the album rather than the albums music. The CD features an image of a pale pink rose, which contrasts the bright red roses on the inside of the album.  Compared to the other roses the pale pink roses suggests a more sensitive and romantic side which reflects the songs on the CD.

This has helped me analysis a digipak and understand how they are constructed to give different meanings in which I will use when coming to make my own.
