I have been thinking of films and different aspects of media in which I could use as inspiration. many of the films I watch are action related films and therefore do not really fit with the genre I have chosen. Other than this, I have very limited ideas on what could inspire me as this genre chosen has completely different generic conventions to other genres I like therefore they do not give me any ideas when coming to make my own music video. I will try to use artists songs I know from the genre chosen to help give me ideas and see what I could base my music video on. This would help me understand how to convey the generic conventions in this genre as apposed to a different genre. Some examples of films I watch are Mechanic and The Expendables. This has helped me understand how other media texts can give me ideas and inspiration when coming to make my own music video.
