Initial Ideas on genre and audience for your music video. Write a post explaining why you chose the genre you did and the audience your artist/genre is aimed at.

when we were given our task to make our own music video, we brainstormed some genre ideas and listed them and gave examples of artists from these genres:

• Pop - Britney Spears.

• Hip Hop - Drake  

• Pop Rock - OneRepublic

• Rock - AC/DC
  

• Rap - NWA

• Grime - Skepta 

We decided to choose Pop Rock as this was a more convenient genre as the generic conventions of this genre fitted our plans of a music video. The audience would be young adults as it is a fast paced song/music video displaying clear narrative. Therefore I believe this would be the target audience for our music video.

This has helped me understand what specific genres entail and how someone would produce a music video in this genre based on the generic conventions, therefore this has helped me when coming to make my own music video.
