What makes a good student music video?

A good student music video consists of an accurate link between the visuals and the lyrics or at least one of Goodwin’s theories. Also adding to this, a good music video conveys generic conventions of the specific genre of music the video is made for, e.g. pop. The main points that make a good student music video are;

 

·         Conveying the correct generic conventions of that genre.

·         Using at least one of Goodwin’s theories in the production of the music video, e.g. link between lyrics and visuals.

·         Creating a music video that works with the genre in which it’s being created for.

·         Attracting the correct audience that usually listens to that music genre based on an audience profile.

·         Having a clear narrative that can be easily followed by an audience.

From this task, I have learnt about what makes a good student music video so I can therefore have a knowledge of what I can do when coming to make my own, and how I can make a good student video.
