What is expected in the video? I would expect to see a vision of the higher quality of life.
What is unexpected in the video? The flashbacks are unexpected in this video because I didn't think they would do that.

Intertextual References?  (Video link to other music videos?)  no intertextual references.

REPRESENTATION:

What issues of representation are evident? The representation of a better life being wealthier is present, the character is young and therefore looks happier when wealthy.

How have these been represented? Stereotypes?  This is a stereotypical vision of a younger adult dreaming of having a wealthy life as this is what they are stereotypically seen to do.

Look at the artist as a star – how have they been constructed? They have been constructed as both an anonymous character and a celebrity.

TECHNICAL CODES:

Camera Angles? Interesting ones? What effect is created? The interesting camera angles are the ones underwater, POV shots. These created a good effect of a POV shot showing us what it would be like to be in that country.
Does the way the camera moves help to tell the story? The camera does help tell the story by panning and tracking the main actor.

What is editing like? Type of cuts etc? The editing is fast to create tension and speed up the music video and time between cuts.
