Why are music videos certified?
Music videos are certified based around the content involved within them. Some music videos have been released where suspicious actions or actions of a sexual nature have been seen or claimed to be in music videos by people or press. An example of this is Sia - Elastic Heart. In this music video, there are two dancers who are wearing skin coloured clothing in order to portray to the audience that they are naked. This is seen to be completely outrageous as one of the dancers is a young girl around the age of 10 and the other a grown man in his mid twenties. Therefore this had hit the news and social media for its portrayal of a man being naked with young girl in what seems to be a cage. However, this is how they attracted people to view the song.
